Personal statement:
I want to see everyone live their life to the full with meaning, purpose and healing. I am most passionate about child welfare, foster care and adoption issues that impact both the community and the families I serve. I am a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) practitioner and have seen the importance of connection between a parent and child, especially when parenting is most difficult. My husband and I are adoptive and foster parents, and have been for over 13 years. I understand the struggle that comes along with parenting in spaces of trauma. My favorite places to visit are Lake Michigan and most recently Maine. In my free time, you will likely find me with a camera photographing the world around me. I love to curl up with a cold drink and a book on my deck, soaking in some fresh air and quiet.
